Please refer to the article below that essentially describes typical problems while an Active Shooter is committing a crime. Shooting reported at University of Oklahoma By Josh Levs, CNN updated 12:57 PM EST, Wed January 22, 2014 STORY HIGHLIGHTS The university in Norman, Oklahoma, reports a shooting on campus Students are told to shelter in place The school says to avoid Gould Hall, which houses the College of Architecture (CNN) -- The University of Oklahoma in Norman reported a shooting on campus Wednesday. "Avoid Gould Hall. Seek immediate shelter in place," the school said on Twitter and on its website. Fifteen minutes later, the school tweeted, "No new info at this time. Remain sheltered in place." Gould Hall houses the university's College of Architecture. Major Bruce Chan of campus police told CNN there was a report of shots fired in that area of campus, and that university as well as local police were responding. It was not immediately known whether anyone has been wounded. The incident took place at around 11:20 a.m. local time (12:20 p.m. ET), while classes were in session. Students and faculty were alerted via text. IMD has the ability to locate the shooter relatively quickly by using patented technology from a remote location. After locating the shooter personnel in harm?s way will be directed to points of exit or shelter. Synchronize & Orchestrate law enforcement?s tactical response with Medical first responders casualty care and evacuation. This is valuable information because Medical first responders will increase treatment response time and the potential to save lives. IMD will also provide extensive first responder tactical training without the need for communication. Security first responders will be given specific roles and responsibilities within the facility for immediate response once Active Shooter is identified. Lastly, IMD will recommend appropriate triage areas for medical treatment of injuries resulting from a hostile environment. This comprehensive solution reduces confusion, remotely locates Active Shooter with patented technology, directs exit plans and refers personnel to shelter areas, provides medical first responders with critical information, effectively trains security first responders with an appropriate tactical plan, and ultimately saves lives from an Active Shooter. The combination of patented technology, military tactical training, and availability of medical device mannequin training brings comprehensive active shooter solutions.
