Description
In his book, Insurgent Aztlán The Liberating Power of Cultural Resistance (2020 International Latino Book Award Winner - Best Political/Current Affairs), Ernesto Todd Mireles reconstructs the relationship between social-political insurgent theory and Xicano literature, film and myth. He makes a solid case for addressing the decades-long decline of Mexican American identity within itself and among sectors of American society by asserting the influential role of culture and history, in the preservation and political advancement of a people (This is a virtual event via Zoom).
