About Us

Mission Kayak was founded by San Antonio native, David Morin and Jack Michel in 2013. It was David’s vision to make San Antonio a better place for outdoor recreational activity, and to enhance the status of the San Antonio Missions. David started the business with a few kayaks, and his Mom’s old mini-van, but grew the business into a full-fledged operation, complete with a 15 passenger van. Mission Kayak was so popular that it was featured in magazines such as Texas Highways, Southern Living, and Texas Monthly. The kayaks were also used on ABC’s The Bachelorette! In 2017, David sold Mission Kayak, Mission Bike Tour, and Mission Running Tour to Sarah Neal, the current owner.. Sarah had managed Mission Kayak under David’s ownership for a year, and he knew that she would be able to continue to grow the business and operate it with integrity.
