In existence for sixteen years, Texas A&M University-San Antonio is changing the higher education landscape in San Antonio. It is one of the fastest growing universities in the state and will become a comprehensive four-year university, welcoming its inaugural freshmen class in fall 2016! Together with A&M-SA, the Texas A&M University-San Antonio Foundation is on a mission to create a pathway to prosperity for its students and a growth in student population increases the need for scholarships; therefore, the Foundation’s task of raising scholarship funds is more important than ever. Each year the Foundation honors distinguished individuals who have made an everlasting impact to the education of students at A&M-SA. We invite you to join us at our annual Dream Maker Scholarship Luncheon on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at the beautiful Pearl Stable. This year, we are proud to honor Regent Elaine Mendoza as our 2016 Dream Maker Scholarship Luncheon honoree. Regent Mendoza will join a renowned list of past honorees which includes: Mr. Lowry Mays; Dr. Carl Raba; Mr. Peter Holt; Ida "Weisie" & the Honorable John Steen; Peggy & Dan Allen Hughes, Jr.; Coach Gene Stallings and Mr. William “Bill” Greehey.
