As we move around to great running spots in the San Antonio ISD boundaries\, this year we are running at Brooks City Base. Come see this historic spot where John F. Kennedy made one of his last speeches\, run by the historic golf course\, and see the tremendous growth in the area. HEB will be providing runner snacks and tech tees are guaranteed through 3/10/14. Don't forget\, NINE of our SAISD schools will win $250\, $500 or $1\,000 for highest levels of participation and schools can recruit community members to run on their behalf. Some of our winners from last year are pictured below.\n\n \n\nThe day of events begin with Onsite Registration at 7:00am\, the Irving Mariachi Band will perform at 7:45am followed by the Spurs Coyote. We will have a Zumba warm up prior to race start and Spurs Sports & Entertainment will have out their Spinning Wheel for prizes. 8:30am is the race start kicked off by Councilwoman Villgran\, SAISD Foundation Leadership and our Title Sponsor SRG Force. There are water stations at the 1mile and 2mile markers and snacks and water provided by HEB at the end of the race and volunteers from St. Mary's University and Frost Bank will be cheering you on along the way and at the finish line. For those not running/walking\, there will be a Zumba class and active stations by Bexar County Health Collaborative to get you moving too.
