DESCRIPTION:Purpose:\n\n\n\nThis committee will meet to discuss various issues related to Government Affairs at the local\, state\, and federal levels. It will also facilitate discussions on land use issues and economic development opportunities for our partners throughout the South Texas region. Members of this committee will help drive discussion and craft position statements for the Executive Committee and Board of Directors.\n\nGoal(s):\n\n\n	\n	Identify partner priorities and share support.\n	\n	\n	Support members on local\, state\, and federal agendas.\n	\n	\n	Advocate on issues that impact our business community.\n	\n	\n	Contribute ideas for speaker engagement.\n	\n	\n	Encourage voter engagement.\n	\n\n\nMeeting Schedule:\n\n\n\nThe South Texas Business Partnership offers this committee as a member benefit for our partners.
