(SAN ANTONIO, TX)—The South Texas Business Partnership announced, today, its Board of Directors has accepted the resignation of Al Arreola Jr. as President & CEO, effective October 21, 2022. The board will begin a search for a permanent President & CEO immediately.
Arreola has been with the organization, formerly known as the South San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, since June 2014.
“I want to sincerely thank all those who have contributed to the continued growth of SoTx, it has been a great honor and pleasure to work alongside the Board and dedicated staff over the past 8 years,” said Al Arreola. “I look forward to remaining engaged in the mission of SoTx as they continue to lead South.”
Founded in 1982, the South Texas Business Partnership has been the catalyst for bringing our area’s business leaders together as advocates for change and further development of our area.
“We’re grateful for the true leadership demonstrated by Al, as he has been key to driving our mission of stimulating sustained economic prosperity across South Texas,” said Connie Gonzalez, Chair of SoTx. “We know we will continue to have an advocate and supporter in Al and look forward to the future partnership.”
Arreola has accepted the position of President & CEO of the United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce.
