SUMMARY:San Antonio Conversations Presented by IBC Bank
DESCRIPTION:This event is currently canceled.\n\nAttendees will be notified if/when a new date has been chosen. \n\n\n\n\n\nWhile the successful 2020 SA to DC trip has come and gone\, the work never ends. The annual trek to DC may only happen once a year\, but the effort to continue advocating on behalf of our San Antonio?s most pressing issues continues in a variety of ways. \n\n\n\nFrom time to time\, we are able to actually bring DC to SA. That opportunity will present itself in an exciting\, rare and interactive event. On Monday\, April 6th\, four United States Senators will sit down with KTSA?s Jack Riccardi in another of our ongoing San Antonio Conversations series.\n\n\n\nCome hear from Senate Majority Whip John Thune (SD)\, and his other senate colleagues\, Todd Young (IN)\, James Lankford (OK)\, and Jerry Moran (KS) as they tackle tough questions about government spending\, immigration\, trade\, and the 2020 election. \n\n\n\nAs members of the Appropriations Committee\, Senators Lankford and Moran will have lots to say about the 2021 spending package and how that could impact trade\, healthcare\, criminal justice reform\, infrastructure and border security. Senator Moran is also the current Chair of the Veterans? Affairs Committee and will tell us about the work he is doing to improve veterans? quality of healthcare\, education\, job opportunities\, and protection from predatory lending. \n\n\n\nAs a member of the powerful Foreign Relations Committee\, Senator Young will discuss the Senate?s swift approval of the USMCA and what implementation will look like in the coming years. He also sits on the Finance Committee and the Senate Commerce\, Science\, and Transportation Committee along with Senate Majority Whip John Thune\, who is one of the most powerful politicians in Congress. \n\n\n\nSenators Young and Lankford will be making their first appearance at a San Antonio Conversations luncheon. Senator Thune will be making his second Conversations appearance and Senator Moran will be making his fourth appearance.\n\n\n\nYou do not want to miss this thought-provoking discussion moderated by Jack Riccardi\, talk show host of the popular 550-AM KTSA Jack Riccardi Show. The event is also a great opportunity to network with key San Antonio business and community leaders. \n\n\n\nThis event is hosted in partnership with the South San Antonio Chamber\, North San Antonio Chamber\, San Antonio Hispanic Chamber\, San Antonio Chamber and the Texas Association of Business.\n\n\n\nJohn Thune\, Senate Majority Whip \n\nU.S. Senate Committee on Commerce\, Science\, and Transportation\n\nU.S. Senate Committee on Finance\n\nU.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture\, Nutrition\, and Forestry\n\n\n\nTodd Young \n\nU.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations\n\nU.S. Senate Committee on Finance\n\nU.S. Senate Committee on Commerce\, Science and Transportation\n\nU.S. Senate Committee on Small Business & Entrepreneurship\n\n\n\nJames Lankford \n\nU.S. Senate Committee on Finance\n\nU.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs\n\nU.S. Senate Committee on Appropriations\n\nU.S. Senate Committee on Indian Affairs\n\n\n\nJerry Moran \n\nU.S. Senate Committee on Appropriations\n\nU.S. Senate Committee on Banking\, Housing & Urban Affairs\n\nU.S. Senate Committee on Commerce\, Science\, and Transportation\n\nU.S. Senate Committee on Indian Affairs\n\nChair\, U.S. Senate Committee on Veterans' Affairs
