DESCRIPTION:External Affairs & Economic Development Committee\n\n\n\nPurpose: The External Affairs & Economic Development Committee brings SoTX partners together to discuss key issues affecting South Texas at the local\, state\, and federal levels. The committee also facilitates conversations around land use\, economic development\, and other priorities impacting our regional business community.\n\n\n\nCommittee members help identify partner priorities\, inform advocacy efforts\, and develop recommendations and position statements for consideration by the SoTX Executive Committee and Board of Directors.\n\n\n\nCommittee Goals:\n\n\n	Identify and elevate priorities impacting SoTX partners and the South Texas region.\n	Support partners on relevant local\, state\, and federal issues.\n	Advocate for policies that strengthen our business community and regional economy.\n	Contribute ideas for speakers\, policy discussions\, and stakeholder engagement.\n	Encourage civic and voter engagement.\n\nMeeting Schedule: Participation in the External Affairs & Economic Development Committee is a member benefit available to SoTX partners.
